Are You Eligible For COVID Support?
In a few short weeks, the emergency paid leave provisions that Congress created in the CARES Act and Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) are set to expire. That would leave millions of people without access to the paid time they need to heal or care for an ill loved one or for children whose school or child care is closed. Our network worked hard to win the paid leave provisions and other protections in these coronavirus relief bills.
While the paid leave benefits are set to expire on December 31, there is still time to qualify. Find out what you’re eligible for, and get connected to support in your state, using our Know Your Rights (KYR) portal. Then join us in telling Congress that extending and expanding the FFCRA and CARES Act are critical next steps for addressing the nation’s health and well-being. We need to ensure that all workers have access to paid sick days and that we expand the paid leave provisions to ensure that people can stay home to fully recover from the virus or care for a sick loved one who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
The Family Values @ Work Know Your Rights portal walks you through the federal and state provisions, answers frequently asked questions, and has an interactive element to help you explore the rights that are specific to your locality and situation.
